Turn a duvet cover into the cosiest Christmas make.

Join us for a one-day sewing workshop and transform a double duvet cover into a beautiful kimono-style dressing gown, complete with a tie belt and neatly finished French seams.

Designed for beginners to social sewers, you’ll work from a simple basic pattern and have the freedom to choose your sleeve length and gown length, making your dressing gown completely your own.

It’s the perfect handmade Christmas gift, or why not make one for yourself to wear on Christmas morning?

And you don’t have to use a pre-loved duvet cover. A new duvet cover is absolutely fine too. With so many gorgeous patterned bed sets on the market, you can really create something completely unique.

You’ll need to bring:• One double duvet cover, either new or pre-loved

• Your own sewing machine

• Thread

• Your usual sewing kit

Brushed cotton duvet covers are particularly lovely for this project and will make an extra-soft, cosy gown. Whatever fabric you choose, your sewing machine must be capable of sewing through it comfortably.

The aim is to complete your dressing gown during the workshop, but depending on your sewing speed and the fabric you choose, some gowns may need a little finishing at home.

Saturday 14th November | 10.30am–3pmLight lunch included.

Come along, give a duvet cover a new lease of life or choose something fabulous and make a dressing gown that’s uniquely yours.

This workshop requires a minimum of 2 participants to run. In the unlikely event this number is not met, you will be offered an alternative date or a full refund.

An email will be sent closer to the start date confirming exactly what you need to bring for the workshop. This will be sent to the email used at booking, so please ensure it is correct and check your inbox and spam folders regularly.
