Terms of use
Welcome to the Hadieda website (www.hadieda.co.uk). By using this site, you agree to the following terms and conditions. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not use our website.
1. About Us
This website is operated by Hadieda, a creative studio based in Leighton Buzzard, offering workshops, classes, events, and community sessions. If you need to contact us, please email: hello@hadieda.co.uk
2. Using This Website
This site is intended to provide information about our services and allow users to book workshops, purchase vouchers, and view upcoming events.
You agree not to use the website:
-
For any unlawful purpose
-
To post or transmit any harmful or offensive material
-
To interfere with or disrupt the site’s functionality or servers
3. Bookings & Payments
All bookings must be made through our website. By booking a workshop or session, you agree to our Terms & Conditions relating to attendance, cancellations, and refunds.
Please ensure you read the full workshop or course description carefully before booking.
Please book carefully. This helps protect our small business from costs created by booking mistakes or customer cancellations. Refunds and transfers are available according to the cancellation windows set out below.
Cancellation windows: If you need to cancel or reschedule, the following applies based on how much notice you give us before the course or workshop start date:
-
14 or more days' notice: Full refund or free transfer to another available date, minus the £5 administration fee.
-
7–13 days' notice: 50% credit toward a future course or workshop (no cash refund).
-
Less than 7 days' notice: No refund or transfer, except at our discretion in exceptional circumstances (see below).
Exceptional circumstances: For cancellations made with less than 7 days' notice, we may at our discretion offer a refund or transfer in cases such as serious illness, bereavement, or where Hadieda itself needs to cancel or reschedule a session. This list is not exhaustive and each request is considered individually.
Right to cancel (Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013): Where you book online, you would normally have a 14-day right to cancel under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013. However, because our courses and workshops take place on specific dates, they fall under the exemption in Regulation 28 for services related to specific dates or periods of performance. By booking, you acknowledge that this 14-day cancellation right does not apply once your course or workshop has a confirmed start date, and that the cancellation windows above apply instead.
Resold spaces: If we are able to fill your cancelled space from a waitlist or through resale, we will refund your payment (minus the £5 administration fee), even if this falls outside the windows above. This is not guaranteed, particularly for late cancellations, as we often cannot fill a space in time.
Some workshops include machine hire, but many do not. If you need to hire a machine, there is a small fee. This information is clearly provided in our "Hire a Machine" section.
Some sessions also require experience or materials to be brought by the participant. It is your responsibility to ensure the session is suitable for your needs before completing your booking.
Refunds & Booking Errors
Where a refund is approved under the cancellation windows or exceptional circumstances above, a £5 administration and payment processing fee will be deducted from the refund amount.
This fee helps cover the non-recoverable transaction charges, booking platform fees, and administrative costs incurred when processing payments and refunds.
Refund requests resulting from customer booking errors, including incorrect dates, workshops, sessions, or booking details selected at the time of purchase, may still be subject to this fee.
The £5 fee will not apply where Hadieda cancels a workshop, course, or event.
4. Missed Sessions & Course Attendance
Multi-session courses: If you miss a session once a course has started, we will do our best to accommodate you with a catch-up or alternative where possible. If you miss more than one session, you will unfortunately forfeit the additional missed time. Once a course has started, bookings cannot be transferred to a different course or start date — the cancellation windows in Section 3 apply only to cancellations made before the course begins.
Stand-alone workshops: If you cancel before the start date, the cancellation windows in Section 3 apply. If you need to change your date and we have space on a repeat session, we will try to move you, but this is not always possible and is not guaranteed. Please only book if you are confident you can attend.
